The opening of Rakesh Roshan’s Anurag Basu directed Hrithik Roshan, Barbara Mori and Kangna Ranaut starrer, `Kites`, was huge! Unfortunately the word of mouth turned out to be mixed at the A centers and predominantly poor at the B and C centers and as a result after a huge weekend, the very expensive film saw declining collections Monday onwards. The film has also underperformed in the Overseas (given the humongous expectations), though the Brett Ratner edited main stream version (that will release in the Overseas this Friday) is expected to fare much better.
Bumm Bumm Bole

As expected, Priyadarshan’s Darsheel Safary starrer `Bumm Bumm Bole` has failed.
Badmaash Company

Yash Raj`s Parmeet Sethi directed `Badmaash Company` has dropped by quite a bit but given the low budget of around 20 crore, the performance is quite praiseworthy. The Shahid-Anushka starrer though has failed to appeal to the Overseas audience
Housefull

Sajid Nadiadwala’s `Housefull` had a very stable third week as compared to the last one, because the number of shows (especially at the multiplexes ) are about the same as the previous week. The film yields good shares. The Sajid Khan directed Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta, Riteish Deshmukh, Deepika Padukone and Arjun Rampal starrer has also done quite well in the Overseas, though it was expected to do better.
